Master Address database to keep track of all addresses in and around the City of Bloomington, IN.

For this project, I was assigned the task of developing the user interface for the internal Master Address database for the GIS Engineering department. Because of the nature of the project, we aimed for efficiency over intuitiveness. The primary target audience is a team of five people who needed a front-end system for their existing Oracle database.

After initial interviews and emails seeking design requirements, I led a series of participatory design sessions. I built several mock-ups in Fireworks based on what I had gleaned so far. In the session we further iterated on those mock-ups as well as produced several new interfaces on the fly. The "Move Address To Location" screen is one of those. Cliff, the developer, said that they were some of the most productive meetings he had ever attended.
